WHICH ONE SHOULD I CHOOSE?

How are medical courses structured

Medicine is a 6-year taught programme that leads to a Master's degree in medicine. It is constructed so that the first three years are preclinical and the latter three are clinical. The preclinical theory includes Anatomy, Histology, Biology, Biochemistry, Biophysics, and much more.

As preclinical training progresses, the focus switches from theoretical subjects to clinical practice by the third year of study. The training then shifts focus to clinical experience, surgery, and preventative medicine.

The programme concludes with a state licence exam. Passing it provides all the rights and privileges of a Medical Doctor (MD).

Graduate entry medicine in Romania

There are no graduate entry medicine options in Romania at this point. Those are available only in Georgia and Poland.

01

The first 2 years are non-clinical years and comprise the following subjects: Anatomy, Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry and Physiology.

02

The next 3 years are the clinical years where you spend more time in the hospitals obtaining practical and first-hand experience in life as a doctor.

03

In the final year, you will take the state exam in order to acquire your licence to practise. After successful completion of the exam, you will obtain the professional qualification of Doctor of Medicine (MD) and be given a Master’s degree.

04

The course is GMC recognised and meets the UK/EU criteria throughout its duration. The lecturers have long term experience and you have access to modern facilities assisting your performance in the degree.

Romania is one of the safest countries for international students in Europe. There haven’t been any incidents to date.
